King Arthur

King Arthur was a man of Quests. One of his most

legendary quests was the quest for the holy grail. In

the movie King Arthur he is a Roman military leader

with great influence on his peers. To become a military

leader you must have great skills. Arthur was a good

swordsman, he had a mind that acts on interest and not

always the best interests. Take Guinevere for example;

he almost jeopardised a whole truce for a girl. In some

Arthurian Legends Arthur was raised by Merlin for his

first 10 years, in others he was taken by Merlin after his

father died and was adopted, yet in few, he never met

Merlin until he drew the sword from the stone. Not

only does Arthur very with versions, but so does the

stone. In one version it says a sword in a stone, in

another it would say an anvil, and another just doesn’t

want to make up its mind because it says that the

sword was in a anvil on top of a white stone. Arthur, in legend, was a squire to Sir Kay, his older brother. The family went to a tournament in another land but Arthur forgot Kay’s sword. As he was searching for one, he saw Excalibur in the stone, so he tried to pull it out and succeeded. When he took the sword to his father, his father told him to put it back and wait till every one was there to witness. Arthur became King Arthur and Sir Kay became a knight at the round table. When first king he was the only one making decisions besides Merlin, but all Merlin did was influence. At the round table all knights and king were equal and this is where Arthur gave out the quests. His very last quest was the quest for the Holy Grail. Merlin tried to warn him that greed would be his demise. In one legend every knight died except Percival. Percival found the Holy Grail and took it to Arthur just as he was speared by his own son. His son’s mother was Arthur’s sister Morgan le Fay. Morgan not only had her brothers baby without his consent she also captured Merlin in a trap of ice. Not to be out done Arthur found and freed Merlin, and Merlin turned Morgan into a old hag. Arthur’s tomb was supposedly found a Glastonbury Abby, on his tomb stone was written ‘Hic iacet supultus inclitus rex Arturius in insula Avallonis’ translated to ‘Here lies buried the renowned king Arthur Buried on the island of Avalon’
